This stillness community is going to be like all or most of the rest out there.
You will have a certain time limit to get your entries in and will vote on the next weeks screencap when voting for the weekly winners.
Rules: 1. Your submissions cannot be animated in any way, its the point of the community 2. Your submissions must remain anonymous. This means you cannot use your icon or post it anywhere for sharing until the voting period has completed. One slip is tolerable, but anymore and you are out. I have eyes everywhere. 3. No telling your friends to vote for you. It breaks rule #2 and it's not fair to the people who follow the rules. 4. All entries and votes must be completed within the time limit given. 5. Make sure your submission fits LJ's size limits of 100 X 100, less than 40kbs, and in the format of .gif, .jpg, or .png
Submissions: 1. At the beginning of each contest I will make an entry with that weeks screencap. All submissions must be made as comments to the challenge entry or they will be disqualified. Also, not everyone will have posting access to create posts but everyone can reply as comments. 2. All entries will be screened and please include the url w/ your image. 3. You must have a host that allows hotlinking for your icons you enter. A good one is Photobucket. A lot of icon makers already use it and they allow free accounts. Greatest Journal is now allowing hotlinking too if you already have an account there. 4. Deadlines for submissions aren't stringent as far as exact time during the day. My personal schedule varies. Here is a basic time sketch that I will stick to as close as possible. Challenge goes up/Voting closes: Wenesday 8pm US est Challenge closes/Voting opens: Monday 8pm US est.
Voting: 1. You don't have to be a member of the community to vote. 2. No Voting for yourself, or on false pretenses (Its unfair to other entrants, and really just sucks and will get you disqualified). 3. Anonymous votes will be disqualified. 4. You must vote to be qualified to win and if you know you will be out town that weekend just let us know and we won't disqualify you for not voting. If the mod doing the voting doesn't know though and we don't see your vote you simply won't win if you should have. 5. Votes will be screened until the end of the voting period or done as a poll. 6. If not done by poll, Three votes, in order of preference, are permitted unless otherwise stated. (You must vote for three, no more, no less, or they won't be counted.) Example: User C - 1st User A - 2nd User B - 3rd

There will be First, Second and Third place winners and possibly some fun awards to come in the future. I will try to get custom banners made each week, but may in the future also need help with that as well.
